VOLUNTEERS
Shiner is married to Mala. They have 2 daughters, Archana and Natasha, both married. He is the President of the Society for a decade now and has been a member for over 50 years and hence the longest serving member of the Society. He is also the Chairman of FOSA. Shiner is retired after serving 37 years in various capacities at Old Mutual. his greatest achievement was being honoured with the maiden 51 Club Lifetime Achievers Award. When Shiner is not doing welfare work he can be found on the golf course.
Daya is married to Ishara. They have 2 children a son Yujir and a daughter Siddhi. He is the CEO of Lab 24. He has been an active member of this Child Welfare for the past 35 years. He is currently the Vice President of the Society. Daya is also the Vice Chairman of FOSA. He enjoys networking and serving the community.
Meena is married to Ajen. They have 3 children Kaajal, Nithai and Yuvthi. She also has a beautiful granddaughter Medha. Meena is the CEO of Atlas Oils and CBS Springfield. She has been the treasurer for the past 20 years. Meena enjoys cooking, spiritual activities and helping the community.
Vinesh is married to Renu. They have 2 children Varsha and Sumeet. Vinesh is a businessman. He has been a very active member for over 18 years and the Secretary of the Casework Committee for the past 7 years. Vinesh spends much of his spare time serving the needs of the less fortunate, doing casework and collating the records of all cases investigated.
Mr Ganesh is married to Sheila for the past 50 years. They have 3 children. He joined the society in 1966 and was the longest serving president. He is currently the Ward 34 Councillor of the Ethekwini Municipality. He retired as a school principal after 38 years of service. Mr Ganesh is very passionate about serving the less fortunate and those in need.
Ajen is married to Meena. They have 3 children. He is the CEO of Atlas Hydraulics. Ajen is the Chairman of the Casework Committee and has also served as the Secretary of the Society. Ajen’s commitment to the Child Welfare Society goes back over 37 years and he is very passionate about serving the poor. He is a very ardent sportsman and a keen long distance runner.
Pravin is married to Renu. They have 2 children, Ashveer and Ashvitha and a lovely granddaughter. He was the chairman of the Casework Committee for the past 2 years and continues today as a member of the committee. He has served on the Society for the past 26 years and is very passionate about Child Welfare Work.
Udesh is married to Sangeetha and they have two sons, Ketan and Akshar. Udesh is a businessman. He is an active member of the Society for the past 26 years. he also serves on the Casework Committee and is the founder member of the Duffs Road Senior Citizens’ Club. Udesh loves traveling and serving the needs of the community.
Renu is married to Pravin. She is the proud mother-in-law of Judy and Ryan. She is a pre-school educator at Corovoca Primary. Renu has been a member for the past 26 years. She enjoys serving the disadvantaged and taking care of children.
Sangeetha is the proud mother-in-law of Nirvasha. She has been a member of the Society for the past 26 years. She is also the founder member of the Duffs Road Senior Citizens’ Club. Sangeetha enjoys traveling, gardening and taking care of the elderly.
Ishara is a medical technologist by profession. She has a pathology laboratory at Life Mount Edgecombe Hospital. She is married to Daya and they have 2 children Yujir 21 and Siddhi 18. Her commitment to Child Welfare goes back 22 years. She is the Chairperson of the Fund Raising Committee.
Naresh is married to Sheila and they have 2 children Swarika and Vidhaan. He is also a proud grandfather to a new baby boy. Naresh has been a member for the past 9 years. He enjoys doing community work.
Jay is married to Kamini for the past 36 years. They have 4 children Amith, Vinay, Kieran and Shemona. He has been a very active member for the past 9 years. Jay enjoys serving the needs of the poor.
Sudheer is married to Ameeta and they have two children Varshan and Sachitha. He is self employed. Sudheer has been an active member for the past 9 years. He serves on the Casework Committee. Sudheer enjoys doing community work.
Ameeta is married to Sudheer and they have two children. She rejoined the Society 9 years ago and recently has been representing the Society at the Senior Citizens’ Club Mettings. Ameeta is a home executive and enjoys doing community work.
Annie is married to Suminthra. They have two children Shantal and Ashley. Annie is self employed. He has been a member of the Society for the past 9 years. Annie enjoys serving the needs of the less fortunate.
Suminthra is married to Anni Mohun. She is the proud grandmother to baby Querida. She is a home executive and enjoys community work. Suminthra has been a member of the Society for the past 9 years.
Vasie is married to Y. Naidoo Chicken). They have two children and two granddaughters. Vasie is an Admin Clerk at KFC Engineering, a family business. She has been an active member of the Senior Citizens Club and she is passionate about community work.
Renusha is married to Vinesh. They have two children Varsha and Sumeet. Renusha is a home executive. She has been an active member of the Society for the past two years. She enjoys serving the less fortunate and is always willing to help.
Bommie is a member of the Society for the past two years. She is widowed with five children. Bommie is also a member of the Senior Citizens’ Club. She enjoys cooking, gardening and serving the community.
